Kansas City, Mo. - The No. 8 Central Methodist Women's Wrestling program posted a perfect record at the 2022 Avila Eagle Duals Friday afternoon in Kansas City.
Three of Central's four dual victories came against teams receiving votes in the latest NAIA Women's Wrestling Coaches' Top 20 poll including, Ottawa (Kan.), Saint Mary (Kan.), and Friends (Kan.).
The largest win of the day was in the finale against Friends, as CMU defeated the Falcons, 45-4. The only loss of the dual came in the tightly contested 136 pound match.
Central also wrestled an exhibition dual against Indian Hills Community College in the third dual of the day. So far this season, CMU has posted a 4-1 overall duals record.
Central will next compete in the Salute to Service Open Dec. 29-30 in Iowa City, Iowa.
