No. 18 CMU Knocks off No. 13 Baker at Home Thursday Night

No. 18 CMU Knocks off No. 13 Baker at Home Thursday Night

Fayette, Mo. - The No. 18 Central Methodsit Women's Wrestling program picked up its first dual win of 2025 with a 23-18 upset victory over No. 13 Baker University Thursday night inside Puckett Field House. 

The win marks Central's fourth dual win overall and second win against a Heart opponent this season. 

Prior to the dual, the program recognized Ronan Prescott, son of Head Coach Tim Prescott as Honorary Captain. 

After falling in the first weight class, CMU rattled off four consecutive wins at 110, 117, 124, and 131 pounds. 

Freshman Mina Himmel secured the biggest win of the night, as the native of Lake Saint Louis, Missouri defeated No. 15 McKenna Haltom by a 6-0 Decision at 145 pounds. 

The Eagles remain at home at will host No. 10 Missouri Valley College Wednesday, Feb. 5 at 6:00 p.m. inside Puckett Field House. Central will honor its 2025 senior class prior to the dual.
