Kansas City, Mo. - Central Methodist freshman Dorie Richardson was named the Heart of America Women's Wrestler of the Week by the conference office on Monday. 

The award comes on the heels of a stellar outing for Richardson against No. 10 nationally ranked Adrienna Turner of Grand View in Central's dual against the No. 2 Vikings last Friday night. 

The native of Sullivan, Missouri, pinned Turner at the 2:17 mark of the first period, securing five team points for CMU. 

Richardson and the Eagles are set to compete in the Missouri Valley Open beginning Friday, Nov. 21, at 10:00 a.m. in nearby Marshall.
