Daytona Beach, Fla. — The Central Methodist Dance Team delivered an impressive performance on the national stage at the NDA National Championships, with the Eagles competing Thursday, April 9 through Friday, April 10 in Daytona Beach.

Central performed in both the NAIA Pom and NAIA Hip Hop divisions, the program highlighted its versatility and competitive excellence, culminating in a national runner-up finish in Pom.

Central Methodist opened competition in the NAIA Hip Hop prelims against a strong field that included Oklahoma City University, Hope International, and St. Thomas. The Eagles posted a raw score of 58.1 and a performance score of 83.0 to place fifth overall.

CMU rebounded strongly in the NAIA Pom division prelims, securing a second-place finish with a raw score of 57.5 and a performance score of 82.1429. The result advanced Central to the Pom finals alongside top qualifiers including Midland University and Ottawa University.

In the Pom finals, CMU elevated its performance, earning a raw score of 57.76 and a final score of 82.5143. The routine secured a second-place national finish, trailing only Midland University, which claimed the championship title.

The runner-up finish marks a significant achievement for Central Methodist, as it is the program's first top-two finish since 2024, where they placed second in NAIA Jazz Finals.
