Fayette, Mo. - The Central Methodist Football program dropped a tough contest to Baker University by a final score of 42-3 Saturday afternoon at Davis Field.
Central now stands at 2-6 and 1-3 in the Heart of America South Division, while Baker improves to 4-3 and 4-0 in conference action.
The Eagles held a slight advantage in time of possession over the Wildcats, holding the ball for 30:15, compared to 29:45 for Baker.
However, BU forced four turnovers including two fumbles, an intereception, and a blocked punt.
Darius Shakor George led the rushing attack for Central with 42 yards on seven carries. Jamar Nuby followed with 37 yards on eight carries.
Both Jordan Gile and AJ Donovan saw action under center for the Eagles. Donovan played a majority of the game after Gile left in the first half due to injury.
Defensively, Treyvion Hourel Jr. finished the day with a team-leading nine tackles while Carson Evangelist added six.
Cristobal Salgado converted Central's lone score of the game on a 24-yard field goal in the fourth quarter.
CMU heads out on the road for a matchup against Culver-Stockton College Saturday, Nov. 1 at 12:00 p.m. in Canton, Mo.
