Fayette, Mo. – For the third-straight week, senior Taylor Bottomley was named the Heart Indoor Men's Field Athlete of the Week, as announced by the conference office Monday afternoon.
The Harrisburg, Mo. native, won the shot put event at the Graceland Indoor Winter Series in Lamoni, Iowa with a throw of 16.82 meters, breaking his own school record set earlier in January at the Friends University Invite. Bottomley also claimed first-place in the weight throw with a final toss of 18.14 meters.
The senior is currently ranked third in the nation in the weight throw with at 18.64 meters, and fourth in shot put at 16.82 meters.
The Eagles will travel to Maryville, Mo. Saturday, Jan. 30 at 12:00p.m. to compete in the Herschel Neil Invite hosted by Northwest Missouri State University.
