New Orleans, La. - The Central Methodist Outdoor Track & Field programs continue to move up in the national rankings, as the men are No. 10 and the women No. 20 in the second edition of the NAIA Outdoor Track & Field National Rating Index for the 2021 season.
On the men's side, the other Heart school represented in the Top 25 is No. 14 Baker, while the women's ranking includes No. 21 MNU.
Doane took the home spot for the men with 350 points, followed by Southeastern (Fla.), Milligan (Tenn.), Westmont (Calif.), and Wayland Baptist. Concordia (Neb.) is atop the women's rankings with 530 points. Southeastern is currently second, followed by Wayland Baptist, William Carey (Miss.), and Indiana Tech.
Both Eagle squads are currently ranked No. 1 in the USTFCCCA South Central Regional Rankings and eight athletes have already booked their trip to the national meet including, Lisa Sauter (Half-Marathon), Kailey Johnson (100m Hurdes), Hayden Hackman (Decathlon), Taylor Bottomley (Shotput and Hammer throw), and the men's 4x100m relay team of Abdulai Rashid, Curtis Johns, Mohammed Nyaoga, and Nehemiah Colyer.
