Seward, Neb. - The Central Methodist Track & Field program qualified two more athletes for the outdoor national championships at the Concordia Twilight meet, hosted by Concordia University Friday afternoon in Seward, Neb.
Freshman Brennan Moots hit the qualifying 'B' standard in the 110m hurdles in a new personal best of 14.85 seconds. Senior Nehemiah Colyer also punched his ticket to Gulf Shores, setting a new PR in the 400m hurdles in 53.52, good enough to hit the 'A' standard for nationals.
The 4x400m relay team of Kailey Johnson, Abbie Hale, Mason Fitzgerald, and Darly Camilo-Montenegro finished second in the event with a time of 3:58.37. Johnson also posted a second-place finish in the 100m hurdles in 14.87 seconds and Abdulai Rashid finished third in the long jump with a final mark of 7.06m.
The Eagles have qualified 14 athletes for the NAIA Outdoor Track & Field National Championships, set to take place May 26-28 in Gulf Shores, Ala.
