Kansas City, Mo. - Central Methodist sophomore thrower Colder Evans was named the Heart Men's Field Athlete of the Week by the conference office Monday.
Its marks the first Heart Weekly award for Evans in his career.
The native of Unionville, Mo., had a strong showing this past weekend at the CMU Invite, winning the discus with a National Qualifying 'B' standard throw of 48.90 meters, a new personal best.
In addition, Evans placed second in the men's hammer throw with a mark of 52.12 meters and fifth in the shot put with a mark of 14.67m.
The Eagles will next travel to Jefferson City, Mo. to compete in the Lincoln Open Saturday, April 8.
