Warrensburg, Mo. - The Central Methodist Track & Field program continued outdoor competition at the UCM Mule Relays Friday in Warrensburg, Mo.
For the women, Natalie Garr ran a personal best in the 400, finishing fourth overall in a time of 1:00.49. Dayana Montenegro placed third in the 800 in a time of 2:16.31. Madeline Wieseman also ran well in the same event with a PR of 2:23.05.
Sophomore Renee Finke ran a personal best in the 100mH in 15.19 seconds. Junior Kailey Johnson made her outdoor debut in the 400mH, finishing in a time 1:05.61 to place third.
In the field events, Kalesha Edwards recorded a new personal best in the triple jump with a mark of 10.54 meters. Delaney Miller finished second in the high jump with a PR of 1.67 meters. The mark was also good enough to meet the NAIA National 'B' qualifying standard for outdoor nationals.
On the men's side, Adam Trachsel ran a personal best in the prelims of 100m dash in 10.83 seconds. He would ultimately finish seventh in the finals. Mohammed Nyaoga placed seventh in the 200m in a time of 22.00 flat.
In addition, Nyaoga and teammate Adrian Watson went 3-4 in the 400m with PRs of 48.95 and 49.35 seconds respectively.
Doriye Jackson placed seventh in the 800 with a new personal best of 1:55.23. Meshack Kiptanui competed in the 3000m steeplechase, improving his time by 16 seconds to finish fourth overall in 10:04.96.
The 4x400m relay team of Nyaoga, Jackson, Jack Schiffhauer, and Watson finished second with a National Qualifying time of 3:16.68.
Moving into the field events, the duo of Parker Yager and Jaxon Hiser both jumped personal bests in the Pole Vault at 4.68 meters to place third and fourth respectively.
Colder Evans threw a massive personal best in the shot put at 15.29 meters, barely missing the NAIA National Qualifying standard. In addition, he placed eighth in the discus with a throw of 48.99 meters.
The Eagles will split squads next weekend at the Jesse Owens invite in Columbus, Ohio and the Wildcat Invite in Canton, Mo.
