Canton, Mo. - The Central Methodist Track & Field program competed at the Wildcat Invite, hosted by Culver-Stockton College this past weekend in Canton, Mo. 

On the men's side, Adam Trachsel placed second in the 100m dash and third in the 200m. 

Jack Schiffhauer won the 800m in a time of 2:02.65, while teammate Meshack Kiptanui placed third. The trio of Jaxon Hiser, Parker Yager, and Neil Green swept the pole vault, while Jamel Jones placed fourth in the triple jump. 

In the field events, Colder Evans won the shot put with a throw of 14.97m. Fellow thrower Brayton Stephenson placed third with a throw of 14.07m. In addition, Evans placed second in the hammer throw with a mark of 47.85 meters, and Josh Henderson third with a mark of 46.44 meters. 

Henderson also finished second in the discus with a throw of 46.28 meters, while Evan Workman earned a third place standing in the javelin. 

On the women's side, Carter Hawkins finished third in the 100m dash and second in the 200m. Teammate Jessica Bailey ran a 200 time of 26.90 seconds. 

Deziree Hood posted a fifth-place finish in the 400m while Natalie Garr won the 800m with a new PR of 2:23.76. Madeline Wieseman finished fourth in the 1500m run in 5:12.18, and Yanira Paninka won the 400mH in 1:05.35. 

The 4x100m relay team of Garr, Bailey, Sakoya Johnson, and Hawkins won the event in 50.45 seconds. 

Moving into the field events, Renee Finke hit a jump of 1.60 meters to finish first. Sarah Johnson placed fourth in the long jump and third in the triple jump. 

Baylee Beard won both the shot put and hammer throw with marks of 12.89 and 49.61 meters respectively. Karli Wolfe posted top five finishes in the shot put, discus and hammer throw.

Kali Brown took home first place in the disucs with a new personal best of 41.30 meters. 

The Eagles will turn their attention to the postseason when they compete in the Heart of America Conference Championships beginning Friday, May 5 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on the campus of Mount Mercy University.
