Kansas City, Mo. - Seventeen members of the Central Methodist University Track & Field program were recognized as Daktronics NAIA Scholar Athletes by the national office this week.
The women were represented by; Baileigh Morris, Carter Hawkins, Kailey Johnson, Karli Wolfe, Lilian Patterson, Madeline Wieseman, Renee Finke, and Sarah Johnson.
Representing the CMU men are; Colder Evans, Evan Workman, Exavier Coburn, Grant Engel, Joseph Slattery, Josh Henderson, Kaleb Bramman, Seth Beard, and Zy'Shonne Cowans.
The group of 17 are among nearly 1900 student-athletes from across the country to be recognized.
In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, must appear on the eligibility certificate for the sport and have attended one full year at said institution.
