Jefferson City, Mo. - The Central Methodist Track and Field program battled tough conditions in the shortened Lincoln Open Saturday in Jefferson City, Missouri.
Brayton Stephenson and Colder Evans went 1-2 in the shot put with throws of 16.41 and 15.37 meters respectively. Evans also earned a third place standing in the hammer with a toss of 49.54 meters.
Claireece Cross placed fourth in the high jump, clearing a height of 1.45 meters. Ryan Graves also finished fourth in the men's high jump with a jump of 1.75 meters.
Neil Green took home first place in the pole vault with a vault of 3.85 meters. Tyler Hankins also landed on the podium, placing third after clearing a height of 3.70 meters.
Evan Workman competed in the javelin, placing fourth with a final throw of 44.12 meters.
Logan Bass placed second in the 110 meter hurdles with a time of 16.28 seconds. Maria Sahagun finished third in the 100m dash after clocking a time of 12.85 seconds.
Aliyaha Heron won the 400m run after crossing the finish line in 1:02.18. Hugo Massa finished third in the men's 400m run in 50.12 seconds.
Diane Ondobo took home first place in the 800m run after clocking a time of 2:24.43. Doriye Jackson ran in the men's 800m run, winning the race with a time of 1:58.22.
Aroa Carballo finished as runner-up in the 400m hurdles in 1:05.48.
David Leon and Ross Brackman went 2-3 in the 200m dash with times of 24.29 and 24.74 seconds respectively.
In the distance races, Kyle Newberry took home first place in the men's 5000m run in a time of 15:58.22.
Central will next compete in the UCM Invitational, Friday April 11 in Warrensburg, Mo.
