New Orleans, La. - After a stellar weekend on the track, Central Methodist sophomore Tyrone Summerall was recognized as the NAIA Men's Outdoor National Track Athlete of the Week by the USTFCCCA on Monday. 

Summerall clocked a time of 51.57 seconds in the 400m hurdles to win the event by nearly a full second at the CMU Invite. The time hit the A standard for national qualification and set a new school record. It is the fastest time this season in the NAIA. 

He followed with a 47.84 anchor leg in the 4×400m relay, finishing first and setting a new school record with a time of 3:11.21. That time is the second-fastest in the country so far in 2026.
