Jonathan Parrilla

Jonathan Parrilla

Central Methodist Head Men's Wrestling Coach Graham Karwath announced the hiring of Jonathan Parrilla as the new assistant coach for the men's wrestling program in September, 2024.

"I'm excited to bring Coach Parrilla aboard our coaching staff," stated Karwath. "His strong ties to my former coach and mentor, Kerry Regner, combined with his international connections and extensive experience, make him a perfect fit for our program. Jonathan's willingness to work hard and put in the time it takes to be a successful coach speaks volumes about his dedication to our team's growth and success."

Parrilla comes to CMU after a decorated collegiate career at NCAA Division II Millersville University in Pennsylvania. He was a four-year wrestler for the Marauders, where he was a national qualifier in the 174-pound class during his senior campaign.

Parrilla was also named a PSAC Third Team All-Conference selection as a senior. Outside the collegiate ranks, he was a U23 World Team member for Puerto Rico and won a bronze medal at the Senior Pan-American games in 2021.

As a coach, he gained additional experience at Lancaster Alliance Wrestling.
