FAYETTE, Mo. - Central Methodist fans are invited to join head coach Pat Reardon and his Central Methodist student-athletes this Tuesday on campus as the team celebrates its third consecutive NAIA Softball National Championship Opening Round invitation.
The celebration for the free event will begin at 6 p.m. CT in Mabee Athletic Facility Meeting Room A located next to North Mulberry Street across from Davis Field. The unveiling of the�34th annual NAIA Softball National Championship Opening Round brackets begins at 7 p.m. on NAIA.org.
The Eagles have had a historic season so far with a 41-6 record that has included wins against No. 2 Auburn Montgomery (Ala.), No. 20 William Woods (Mo.) and No. 25 Embry-Riddle (Fla.). Additionally, senior pitcher Aubrey Utley has established new school records for wins and strikeouts, while sophomore infielder Lauren Geringer has set a new school record for home runs.�
Fans will have a chance to celebrate with the Central Methodist coaching staff, Eagle players, President Roger Drake and Eddie the Eagle.�Light refreshments will be served.�
Parking will be available in the Puckett Fieldhouse and Davis Field lots located on North Mulberry Street.
