FAYETTE, Mo. - No. 9 Central Methodist, riding a school-record 22-game win streak overall and 26-game win streak in Heart of America Athletic Conference (HAAC) play, travels to Graceland (Iowa) for a doubleheader Tuesday with a chance to clinch its fifth-straight league title at North Park. First pitch is set for 1 p.m. CT.

The Yellowjackets have lost six in a row, which is tied with Missouri Valley for the longest active streak in the conference. Graceland ranks seventh in the NAIA in caught stealing per game (0.5), 25th in steal attempts per game (2.1) and 32nd in stolen bases per game (1.6). Kristen Cruickshank ranks fifth in errors per game (0.7). Ashley Madsen is 13-of-17 in stolen bases.
Central Methodist Notes
Central Methodist clinches at least a share of its fifth-straight HAAC title with one win Tuesday and clinches the championship outright with two victories. The last team to win at least a share of five-straight was Evangel (Mo.), which was a part of six-straight leagues titles from 2004-09.
The Eagles have won 16-straight against Graceland since a 2007 game-two loss in Lamoni.
The Eagles have shut out the Yellowjackets in four-straight meetings.
Since 2011, Central Methodist is a whopping 80-8 in HAAC play, including a perfect 14-0 this year.
Central Methodist is ranked ninth in the latest NAIA Softball Coaches' Top 25 Poll, the highest ranking in school history.
The NAIA announced April 15 that for the first time in school history, Central Methodist has been selected as one of the 10 host sites for the NAIA Softball National Championship Opening Round May 11-13.
The Eagles have outscored their opponents 280-88 this season, including 109-18 in league play.
Central Methodist has not allowed a run in the first or fourth innings in HAAC play this season.
The Eagles have five of the top 11 consecutive scoreless innings streaks in NAIA history, including two this year. The Eagles had a streak of 32.2 innings March 23-29, which ranks sixth all-time, and 28.2 innings April 7-15, which tied for 10th with the 2014 Eagles' squad.
Haley Kinnison was named the HAAC Pitcher of the Week on Monday and has not allowed a run in 21-straight innings.
Lauren Geringer was named the HAAC Player of the Week on Monday and has 12 or more homers in her first three seasons in Fayette.
Central Methodist already has wins over No. 1 Auburn-Montgomery (Ala.), No. 2 William Carey (Miss.), No. 7 LSU Alexandria (La.), No. 21 Oklahoma Baptist and No. 24 South Carolina Beaufort.
The Eagles rank fourth in the NAIA in fielding percentage (0.97), seventh in doubles (84) and ninth in home runs per game (1.1). The team is 10th in runs batted in per game (6.7), slugging percentage (0.539), opponents batting average (0.210) and earned run average (1.9). The Eagles are 19th in runs scored per game (7.2), 23rd in batters struck out (219), 26th in at bats per game (28.4), 28th in hits per game (9.6) and 31st in batting average (0.337).
Nicole Beck leads the NAIA in fielding percentage (1.0). Kinnison is ninth in hits allowed per 9 (4.3), 11th in opponents batting average (0.170) and earned run average (1.3), 15th in wins (16) and 21st in batters struck out (129). Jessie Wilmes is 14th in runs scored per game (1.2). Jocie Glaze is 37th in earned run average (1.8).
Geringer hit her school-leading 36th and 37th career homers, including a grand slam, in the last game Saturday at Culver-Stockton (Mo.) and leads the team this year with 12. She has hit at least one homer in the second game of four-straight HAAC doubleheaders and at least one homer in six-straight doubleheaders.
Beck, Bri Boatwright and Michele Rupard have been a part of 152 wins since 2012 and along with Lindie Adair are nine shy of becoming the winningest four-year class in program history, which would break the 2014 senior class' record of 160 victories.
