With the split, Central Methodist University moves to 23-13 overall and 5-3 in Heart of America Athletic Conference play. With the split, the Culver-Stockton College Wildcats move to 21-15 overall, and 7-7 in The Heart.

Culver-Stockton and Central Methodist played a close, back-and-forth game in game one of Saturday's doubleheader. The Wildcats struck for a single run in innings two through five.

The Lady Eagle offense, picked up their runs in bunches. CMU struck for four runs in the third inning, and another two runs in the bottom of the fifth inning. Those two runs would prove to be the winners for Central Methodist, as they held on for a 6-5 victory in game one.
�
Lady Eagles' starter Erin Enke (Martinez, Calif.) picked up the victory (10-5) in the circle, going all seven innings. Enke allowed five runs on eight hits, while striking out a season high 13 and walked eight. She also used a season high 170 pitches. In her last three outings combined (19.2 innings), Enke has tossed a combined total of 413 pitches.

Offensively, the Lady Eagles were led by Mary Dahl's (Altoona, Iowa) 1-for-2 performance, with three RBI's and a walk. Addyson Reardon (Boonville, Mo.) was the lone player from CMU to record multiple hits, finishing 2-for-3 with two runs scored.

Game two got off to a scoreless start for both teams, until the third inning. Culver-Stockton struck for three runs in the third inning, five runs in the fourth inning, two runs in the fifth inning and two more runs in the seventh inning to cap the 12-5 victory.

The Central Methodist offense scored a run in the fourth inning, and broke out for four runs in the fifth inning; but by then Culver-Stockton was well on their way to victory.

CMU starter Haley Kinnison (Lee's Summit, Mo.) was hit with the loss (10-5). Kinnison lasted just 3.2 innings, while allowing seven runs on six hits with four strikeouts and four walks.

Hannah Blackmon (Beaumont, Texas) finished game two 2-for-3 at the plate, with three RBI's, two runs scored, and a homerun.
�
The Lady Eagles return to action on Tuesday, when they host Heart member Benedictine College in a conference doubleheader beginning at 3pm at the Cox Softball Complex. Tuesday's games are being made-up, following the March 30th postponement.
