With the victories, Central Methodist University improves to 25-13 overall and 7-3 in Heart of America Athletic Conference play. With the losses, the Benedictine College falls to 20-16 overall, and 8-6 in The Heart.

Central Methodist struck early for four runs in the first two innings of game one and cruised to a 6-0 victory over the Ravens from Benedictine College.

Central Methodist starter Erin Enke (Martinez, Calif.) improved to 11-5 on the season, by tossing her 10th complete game of the season. Enke went all seven innings, while allowing just two hits, two walks, and she struckout seven.

Offensively, Bailey Fidler (Pleasant Hill, Mo.) finished 3-for-4 at the plate with a run scored and one RBI. Skyler Hime (Raymore, Mo.), Lauren Geringer (O'Fallon, Mo.) and Alyssa Lilly (Wentzville, Mo.) all finished 2-for-4 at the plate.

Game two was a closer contest that came down to the very end. The Ravens struck first in the third inning for a run, before CMU would respond with two runs of their own. Benedictine would then score another run in the top of the fourth inning to tie the game at 2-2.

The score remained tied until the bottom of the sixth inning, when Mary Dahl (Altoona, Iowa) came to bat, with Addyson Reardon (Boonville, Mo.) and Alyson Fuemmeler (Glasgow, Mo.) on base. Dahl would single in Reardon for the go-ahead run, however Fuemmeler was thrown out at home plate to retire the side.

Lady Eagles' relief pitcher Ashley Litton (Lee's Summit, Mo.) would pick up the win (3-1), in relief of starter Haley Kinnison (Lee's Summit, Mo.). Litton tossed two scoreless frames in relief, while recording one strikeout.

The Lady Eagles close out their homestand tomorrow (Wednesday) against (RV) Evangel University. First pitched from the Cox Softball Complex is scheduled for 2pm.
