KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Central Methodist University softball standout, Keighlan Cronin (SO/St. Charles, Mo.), was tabbed as the Heart Pitcher of the Week after a successful weekend at the Gulf Shores Invitational.
Cronin picked up three wins in Alabama, finishing the trip with an earned run average of 1.94 after 18 innings pitched. She struck out 20 batters while surrendering five earned runs and scattering 13 hits. Cronin currently leads the conference by holding opponents to a .194 batting average.
The Eagles will return to action this weekend with a two-day showing at the McPherson Tournament in McPherson, Kan. They are slated to face No. 2 Science and Arts-Oklahoma, Midland, and Langston on Saturday and host McPherson on Sunday.
