Kiser Tabbed as Heart Softball Player of the Week

Kiser Tabbed as Heart Softball Player of the Week

Kansas City, Mo. - Central Methodist senior infielder Katelyn Kiser was tabbed as the Heart Softball Player of the Week. 

Kiser, a native of Kansas City, Mo., had an incredible weekend at the plate while leading CMU Softball to a perfect 4-0 record. 

She hit an incredible .923 with a 1.538 slugging percentage. Kiser batted 12-of-13 through four games played which included three doubles, a triple, and a home run. In addition, sher drove in five runners, while crossing the plate 10 times herself. 

Kiser also drew four walks and swiped three bases. 

In the final game against Williams Baptist Sunday, she nearly hit for the cycle with a two-run home run, a triple, and a pair of singles.

Kiser and the Eagles will host the Cottey College Comets for a doubleheader Sunday, Feb. 26 beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Cox Softball Complex.
