Montgomery, Ala. - The No. 8 Central Methodist softball program split against Faulkner University Monday afternoon in Montgomery, Ala.

Central fell in a pitcher's duel in game one, 1-0, before bouncing back with an 8-0 victory in six innings in game two.

Freshman Brooke Tolle had a solid outing in the circle, pitching six complete innings and giving up just one earned run on four hits. The lone run of the game came on an RBI-single to right center in the bottom of the sixth inning.

Faulkner's Katelynn Inness also had a masterful showing, pitching a complete game shut out and striking out 12 Central batters.

In game two, the Eagles' bats began work quickly in the opening inning, plating four runs on three hits and one Faulkner error.

A single from Katelyn Kiser to score Kaysie Jolley in the fourth inning extended Central's lead to 5-0. In the fifth, Daly Garland doubled back up the middle to score Madison White, followed by a single from Jolley to score Garland.

Madison Roberts capped the scoring with an RBI-single back up the middle to score Jolley.
