The Central Methodist Softball program won three of four games this weekend in their final road swing of Heart regular season play.
Central improves to 33-9 and 20-4 in conference play.
Game 1: CMU 1 - Mount Mercy 0
The lone run of this pitching duel came in the third inning on an RBI-single to left field to score Katelyn Kiser. Jordyn Ball continued her strong showing in her debut season inside the circle, tossing a complete game shut out and giving up just two hits and four walks.
She also struck out nine batters for her 13th win of the year.
Game 2: CMU 12 - Mount Mercy 0
The Eagle bats came alive in the doubleheader finale, plating 12 runs on 15 hits including three for extra bases in five innings. Crider led Central, batting three-for-three with a double, an RBI-single and a solo home run. Katelyn Kiser also batted two-for-three with three RBI.
Haile Farris picked up her 10th win of the year, tossing a complete game shut out with five Ks.
Game 1: CMU 12 - Culver-Stockton 3
Central plated 12 runs on 14 hits in the first game against the Wildcats in Canton. Six of the Eagles' 12 runs came in the fifth inning to put the game out of reach of CS-C. Despite Culver scoring three runs in the bottom half of the fifth, they were unable to extend the game past five.
Crider once again led the offensive push, batting three-for-four with a single, double, and a triple. She also drove in three runners. Elizabeth Palumbo matched Crider with three hits which included a double and three RBI.
Madison White, Kaysie Jolley, and Katelyn Kiser (2x) also all picked up doubles.
Ball earned her 14th win of the year, tossing a complete game and giving up three earned runs while striking out nine batters.
Game 2: CMU 3 - Culver-Stockton 6
Central dropped the final game of the doubleheader, as the Wildcats stormed back in back-to-back innings late to earn the three-run victory.
The duo of Kiser and Kelena Oots each picked up two hits while Oots drove in a runner on an RBI-double in the fifth inning. Madison Roberts homered to centerfield in the sixth.
