Kansas City, Mo. - Central Methodist senior Daly Garland was named the Heart Softball Player of the Week, which was announced by the conference office Monday.
Garland posted a .471 batting average in her six games last week.
Against No. 17 Missouri Baptist, the Illinois native batted three-for-six with 6 RBI, helping her team split the midweek series against a Top 25 opponent.
Altogether, she tallied eight hits, including three doubles and a home run, while driving in 11 total RBI.
Garland and the Eagles hold the No. 6 spot in the latest NAIA National rankings with a 19-5 overall record and a 3-1 record in the Heart.
On Friday, they will travel to Mount Mercy for a two-game series against the Mustangs. The first pitch for game one is set for 2:00 p.m. from Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
