Kansas City, Mo. - Central Methodist freshman track athlete Kailey Johnson was tabbed as the Heart Women's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week, as announced by the conference office Monday afternoon.
Johnson and the Eagles competed this past weekend at the Zach Kindler Wildcat Invitational hosted by Baker University in Baldwin City, Kan.
The Columbia, Mo. native improved her national qualifying mark in the 110m hurdles with a first-place finish in a new PR of 14.61. She also placed second in the 200m dash in a time of 25.52. This marks the second outdoor track athlete of the week honor for Johnson, as she also earned the award on April 6.
