Wichita, Kan. - The Central Methodist Indoor Track & Field prograrm returned to competition for the first time in 2023 at the Friends University First Chance Qualifier Satuday in Wichita, Kan.
Sophomore Carter Hawkins competed in two events for Central. The Centralia, Mo. natuve ran a time of 8.32 seconds in the preliminaries of the 60m dash. She would finish the event in 10th place after clocking a finals time of 8.42 seconds.
In addition, Hawkins ran the 200m dash in 28.62 seconds.
Junior Kailey Johnson posted a fourth-place finish in the 400m run, finishing with a time of 1:01.91.
The program will next compete in the Nebraska Graduate Classic beginning Friday, Jan. 13 at 4:00 p.m. in Lincoln, Neb.
