Jefferson City, Mo. - The Central Methodist Track & Field program continued outdoor competition at the Lincoln University Open this weekend in Jefferson City, Mo.
On the women's side, Tre'breh Scott broke the school record in the 100mH in a time of 13.81 seconds, finishing second. Teammate Gizel Clayton matched her personal best in the same event in a time of 13.83 seconds.
Dayana Montenegro hit the national qualifying 'B' standard in the 800m run in a time of 2:14.74.
In the field events, sophomore Renee Finke won the high jump with a school record mark of 1.70 meters.
Freshman Baylee Beard won the Hammer Throw with a mark of 50.43 meters, while Karli Wolfe placed sixth with a throw of 44.77 meters. In addition, the duo of Kali Brown and Wolfe both set new personal bests in the discus with throws of 40.75 and 39.11 meters to finish third and fifth respectively.
Carter Hawkins placed second in the pole vault with a vault of 3.27 meters.
For the CMU men, Adrian Watson placed fourth in the 400mH in 55.11 seconds. Doriye Jackson finished third in the 800m run in 1:56.33.
Meshack Kiptanui competed in the 5000m run, placing second in a time of 15:56.03
Reigning Heart Men's Field Athlete of the Week, Colder Evans, hit the national qualifying 'A' standard in the discus with a throw of 49.38 meters. The duo of Parker Yager and Jaxon Hiser each tied for second in the pole vault with vaults of 4.50 meters.
Central will next compete in the UCM Mule Relays Friday, April 14 in Warrensburg, Mo.
