Atlanta, Ga. - The Central Methodist Track & Field program took part at the highly competitive Georgia Tech Invitational this weekend in Atlanta, Ga.
Sophomore Gizel Clayton started the weekend off with a bang, breaking the program record in the 100m Hurdles in a time of 13.63 seconds. She ultimately placed fourth in the event.
In addition, Clayton also competed in both the 100m and 200m dash. Dayana Montenegro landed in the Top 10 of the 400m in a new PR of 55.96 seconds, hitting the national qualifying 'A' standard.
Tre'Breh Scott posted a 12th place finish in the 200m dash in 24.77 seconds. Junior Kailey Johnson hit the National Qualifying 'B' standard in the 400mH in a time of 1:04.40.
The Eagles will turn their attention to the postseason when they compete in the Heart of America Conference Championships beginning Friday, May 5 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on the campus of Mount Mercy University.
