New Orleans, La. - For the fourth time in his career, Central Methodist Director of Track & Field/Cross Country Kenny Anderson was named the South Central Regional Women's Indoor Coach of the Year.
The award, which the USTFCCCA announced, comes on the heels of Anderson being named the Heart of America Women's Indoor Coach of the Year.
Anderson led the CMU Women to their third indoor conference title in four years (2022, 2023, and 2025) last weekend in Maryville, Missouri. The women scored a staggering 209 points to claim the conference crown, 47 points better than second-place Benedictine, and the most for the program during its last three championships.
Additionally, CMU brought home six individual gold medals, which included a new conference record in the 4x400m relay.
The program also boasted the highest point scorer of the meet in Dayana Montenegro, who tallied 30.5 points after winning the 400m, 600m, and 4x400m relay and finishing second in the 200m.
As a team, Central has three No. 1 Event Squad Rankings, including the 600m, 60m hurdles, and the pentathlon.
The Eagles will turn their attention to the NAIA Indoor National Championships, set to begin Thursday, Feb. 27 in Gainesville, Fla.
