Eagles Compete in Concordia Bulldog Duals

Eagles Compete in Concordia Bulldog Duals

Seward, Neb. - The (RV) Central Methodist Men's Wrestling team competed in the Concordia Bulldog Duals Saturday in Seward, Neb. 

The Eagles took on four opponents, of which three were mentioned in the latest NAIA Men's Wrestling Coaches' Top 20 poll, highlighted by No. 3 Doane University (Neb.). 

Central dropped its first two matches against Texas Wesleyan and host school Concordia, before defeating Hastings, 34-20. The Eagles concluded the day with a 32-15 loss to Doane. 

Senior 285-pound grappler Brenden Shelton finished the day 2-0, with both of his victories coming via Fall against Concordia and Doane opponents. Freshman Jason Shaw also won his two bouts in the 133-pound weight class. 

Central will return home to host Iowa Wesleyan Tuesday, Jan. 10 in a single dual beginning at 7:00 p.m. in Puckett Field House.
