Kansas City, Mo. - For the first time in his young career, Central Methodist sophomore wrestler Colton King was named the Heart Men's Wrestler of the Week by the conference office Monday.
King, a native of Saint Charles, Mo., posted a 2-0 duals record against opponents from Iowa Wesleyan and Benedictine College. He defeated No. 23 ranked Lane Scorpil of Iowa Wesleyan by Fall, in 2:14, and then defeated Benedictine College's Charles Easterling by Fall in 41.2 seconds.
CMU won both duals against Iowa Wesleyan and BC.
King and the Eagles will next compete in the Missouri Valley Invitational beginning Friday, Jan. 20 in Marshall, Mo.
