Fayette, Mo. - The (RV) Central Methodist Men's Wrestling team dropped a tightly contested dual to No. 17 nationally ranked Baker University 23-21 Wednesday night inside Puckett Field House.
The Eagles won the first two matches at 125 and 133, as Colton King and Jason Shaw earned victories via pin. Central would drop the next two bouts at 141 and 149 before No. 10 Donald Griffin picked up a 7-1 victory at 157.
After earning a victory via forfeit 165, Baker rattled off three consecutive victories to pull ahead in the match. The final dual of the night was a win by pin in just over a minute for No. 22 Brenden Shelton at 285 pounds.
The Eagles will next compete in the Missouri Valley College Open Saturday, Feb. 4 beginning at 9:00 a.m. in Marshall, Mo.
