St. Louis, Mo. - The Central Methodist STUNT team opened the 2025 season with the Maryville University Classic at the Simon Athletic Center, located just outside of St. Louis this past weekend.
Central split each of the two days of competition on Saturday and Sunday, beginning with 24-0 loss to Trevecca University. The Eagles responded with a 10-9 win over NCAA Division I member Central Arkansas in the final game of the day.
The win over the Bears also marked Coach Abigail Rosa's first win as Head Coach of the Eagles.
On day two Sunday, CMU shut out Southwest Baptist University, 11-0 before ending the tournament with an 11-4 loss to Drury University.
CMU is 2-2 on the early season, and will next compete at the Missouri Baptist Tournament beginning Friday, March 14 at 3:30 p.m.
