Miller tabbed as Heart Women's Wrestler of the Week

Kansas City, Mo. - After a stellar outing this past weekend, freshman 109-pound grappler Alexis Miller was tabbed as the Heart Women's Wrestler of the Week by the conference office Monday.

She becomes the second Eagle this season to earn Heart weekly honors, as teammate Lillian Gough was also recognized back on Dec. 6.

Miller, a freshman from Wagoner, Okla., posted a perfect 3-0 record at the inaugural Eagle Duals, Saturday. Two of her victories came via pin including an upset victory over No. 14 nationally-ranked Chloe Krebsbach of Grand View.

She was one of six wrestlers to earn a victory in Central's dual against host school Avila University in a 27-22 team win.

Miller and the Eagles will next compete in the EZ-Flex Open hosted by Ottawa University Saturday, Jan. 8 beginning at 9:00 a.m. in Ottawa, Kan.
