Ottawa, Kan. - The (RV) CMU Women's Wrestling team posted three first-place finishes at the EZ-Flex Open hosted by Ottawa University Saturday morning.
The event featured five schools including; Indian Hills Community College, host school Ottawa, Central Methodist, Fontbonne University, and University of Saint Mary's.
The trio of Sabrina King, Corinne McClure, and Lillian Gough all took home first place finishes in their respective weight classes. In addition, Gough was named the Open's Most Outstanding Wrestler.
King won all three of her bouts in the 123-pound weight class by Fall, while two of McClure's three victories came via Tech Fall. Gough claimed victory by Fall in less than 90 seconds in each of her three matches to earn a first place finish.
Brianne Whited, Andrea Montoya, and McKenna Deckelman all competed for the Eagles as well, as Whited placed fourth and Montoya fifth in the 143-pound bracket.
Central will next compete against Indian Hills Community College in an exhibition Tuesday, Jan. 11 at 3:00 p.m. in Ottumwa, Iowa.
