Freshman Elise Schreiber (Jefferson City, Mo.) was selected as the Heart of America Athletic Conference women's cross country runner-of-the-week after leading CMU to a fifth-place finish at the Maple Leaf Invite last week.

Schreiber was the top finisher for the Central Methodist squad, placing 22nd in her first collegiate meet. Schreiber clocked a time of 16 minutes, 19.34 seconds on the 4K course at Baldwin City, Kan., to place 22nd out of 84 runners.
