Fayette, Mo. The Central Methodist University women's cross country team began their 2015 season this past Saturday in a home meet with Westminster College. CMU came out victorious 25-31 and had two of their runners finish in the top three.
"I was happy to see our girls go out and battle today," said CMU head coach Mark Nelson. "We have had a hard couple of weeks of training so far, and for them to race well like this early bodes well for the rest of our season."
Emily Nealley set the tone for the Eagles on Saturday, winning the race with a time of 19:46.29. Megan Greener finished in third place for CMU with a time of 20:53.06.

Other finishers included Veronica Hancock in sixth place (21:12.32), Shannon Feurt in seventh place (21:46.15), and Abby Cross in eighth place (22:04.58).

Crystin Wilson finished in 10^th place with a time of 22:58.73, while Cheyenne Randle finished at (24:12.83), Bayley Greiner (24:59.29), and Rachel Howieson with a time of (27:46.67).

The Eagles will next be in action on September 19^th, when they travel to Joplin, Mo., to compete in the Southern Stampede at 8am.
