Oskaloosa, Iowa The Central Methodist University women's cross country team finished in fourth place out of 14 schools in Saturday's Heart of America Athletic Conference Cross Country Championships in Oskaloosa, Iowa; hosted by William Penn University. Individually, Emily Nealley finished in sixth place and qualified for the NAIA National Cross Country Championships later this month in Charlotte, North Carolina.

"Our women's team finished with a strong race in some challenging, windy conditions," said CMU head women's cross country coach Mark Nelson. "Emily Nealley gave us a great effort up front, and was rewarded with a trip to the national meet."

As a team, Central Methodist finished in fourth place with a total time of 101:05.3. Emily Nealley's team best 6^th place finish came in with a time of 19:25.0. Junior Megan Greener was the only other Lady Eagles runner to finish in the top 20, as she placed 17^th with a total time of 20:00.1.

Benedictine College took home the team victory with a total time of 95:39.3. Individually, Katherine Dillard from Benedictine won the race with a total time of 18:36.0.

Emily Nealley will represent Central Methodist University on November 21^st at the NAIA Cross Country National Championships in Charlotte, North Carolina. The indoor track & field season will begin for the team on December 5^th, in Pella, Iowa for the Dutch Holiday Open at 11:30am.
