FAYETTE, Mo. – The Central Methodist University women's cross country program hosted and competed the annual Gary Stoner Invitational on a brisk Saturday morning.

Sixty-nine racers from NAIA and NCAA programs created a highly competitive field of athletes. Lisa Sauter (JR/Schefflenz, Germany) crossed the finish line first for CMU, recording a final time of 20:16. She finished 9^th overall and 4^th out of the NAIA athletes. Katelyn Moeller (FR/Williamsville, Mo.) was the next to finish for the program with a final time of 21:52 and was 30^th overall.

Other finishes for the squad include:

• Madeline Wieseman (FR/Dardenne Prairie, Mo.) – 37^th | 22:24
• Katherine Bangert (FR/Coldwater, Mo.) – 50^th | 23:11
• Sarah King (FR/El Dorado Springs, Mo.) – 52^nd | 23:18

As a team, Central finished 5^th out of seven programs after posting a total time of 1:51:30 while averaging 22:12. The University of Central Missouri (NCAA DII) won the competition with an average time of 19:51.

The Eagles will return to action on Saturday, October 26^th, at the NAIA Seminole Valley Invite. The event, hosted by Mount Mercy in Cedar Rapids, will begin at 11:30 AM.
