Kansas City, Mo. - Central Methodist senior cross country runner Kailey Johnson was named a 2023 Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athlete by the national office last week. 

Johnson is among 626 student-athletes from across the country to be recognized. She is now a two-time NAIA Scholar-Athlete in cross country. 

In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, must appear on the eligibility certificate for the sport and have attended one full year at said institution.
