Columbia, Mo. - Central Methodist freshman cross country runner Tara Ozinga concluded the 2024 season at the NAIA Cross Country National Championships Friday morning at Gans Creek Cross Country Course in nearby Columbia, Missouri.
The 6K race featured 327 total athletes.
The course was a familiar one for Ozinga, as she had previously run the course on two different ocassions in 2024. She finished in the top half of the pack, as the Netherlands native crossed the line at 22:56.4 to finish 121st.
She was the first national qualifier for the women since the 2018 campaign after placing fourth at the Heart Championships earlier this month.
The women's program wraps up a successful 2024 season that saw them post a fourth place finish at the conference championships, the highest placing for the program since 2016.
