Marshall, Mo. - The Central Methodist Men's Golf program had a solid showing at the Missouri Valley College Spring Invitational this week in Marshall, Mo. 

As a team, the Eagles posted a three-round total of 840 to finish tied for first with Columbia College. During the course of the tournament, Central set new program records through 36 (-13) and 54 (-24) holes. 

Chad Coburn put his stamp on the Invitational, firing rounds of 69, 68, and 67 to finish tied for first. In addition, the freshman broke the individual program record, shooting 12 under par through 54 holes. The previous mark was held by teammate Matias Baccola (-10).

Baccola landed in the Top 10 with a fourth place showing, shooting rounds of 69, 70, and 67 for a total of 206. Tiago Swart posted a seventh place finish with a three-round score of 211. 

In addition, Luke Truter tallied a score of 215 to place 11th.

CMU will turn its attention to the postseason, next competing in the Heart of America Conference Championships beginning Monday, April 24 in Moravia, Iowa.
