Smithville, Mo. — The CMU Men's golf program wrapped up their season at the Heart of America Athletic Conference Championship Monday and Tuesday at Paradise Pointe Golf Complex.
Weather impacted the schedule, pushing the completion of the second round into Tuesday and turning the event into a condensed finish across the final 36 holes.
Central placed 12th as a team with a three-round total of 943 (318-325-300), showing significant improvement in the final round with their best team score of the tournament.
Leading the way individually was Zane Downey, who finished tied for 39th with a three-round total of 233 (78-80-75). Downey capped his tournament with a strong 75 in the final round.
Cylas Worley matched Downey's total of 233 (77-83-73), also tying for 39th. Worley posted the team's low round of the event with an impressive 73 in round three.
Rocco Amoia finished tied for 45th at 238 (80-80-78), while Brayden Loftin placed tied for 47th with a 239 (83-82-74), closing with a 74 in the final round. Peyton Taylor competed as a substitute and recorded rounds of 83 and 85 as did Keenan James (71st - 92)
