Bronaugh Standout Signs With CMU Women

Bronaugh Standout Signs With CMU Women
The Central Methodist University women's basketball team added the third athlete to its 2010-11 recruiting class when Bronaugh, Mo., native Katlyn Douglas signed her letter of intent to join the CMU program.

Douglas is set to join the Lady Eagles after capping an outstanding career at Bronaugh High School. A 5-foot-6-inch guard, Douglas was among the Bronaugh team leaders, averaging 18.12 points and 12.41 rebounds per game. During her high school career, Douglas was selected as the Bronaugh MVP, while earning first team all-conference, first team all-district, and Joplin Globe all-area honorable mention.

In addition to her basketball accolades, Douglas maintained a 4.0 grade-point average throughout high school. She received academic letters in softball, track & field, volleyball, and basketball.

"Katlyn really had a stellar high school career at Bronaugh High School, and we are excited about what she can bring to our program," CMU Head Coach Andi Brooks said. "Anytime you see rebounding numbers like Katlyn's, you know that you found the type of hard-working kid that every program looks for."
