Pilot Grove senior Whitney Wessing became the fifth player to sign a letter of intent to join the Central Methodist University women's basketball program for the 2010-11 season.

Wessing is set to play for the Lady Eagles after completing an outstanding career at Pilot Grove High School. The 5-foot-7-inch guard/forward was a three-time all-conference and all-district selection for Pilot Grove. Wessing was also named Pilot Grove Ms. Basketball three times in her career. In addition to her success on the court, Wessing was on the Distinguished Honor Roll all four years of high school.

"It is always great to get local student-athletes at CMU, and we feel Whitney has the ability to excel at the college level," CMU Head Coach Andi Brooks said. "We see a lot of upside in Whitney's ability and are excited for what the future has in store for her and our program."
