CMU scored just eight points in the first half as the Lady Eagles found themselves in a 25-8 halftime deficit. Baker stretched its lead to as many as 23 points 41-18 with 8:48 left in the game. The Lady Eagles closed the gap to 47-34 with 1:23 remaining, before Baker scored the final three points of the game to finish with the 16-point win.

Central Methodist finished 13-of-55 from the field in the game, while Baker shot 34 percent on 16-of-47 from the field. Baker made 16-of-22 free throws, while the Lady Eagles shot just 11 free throws in the game, making five. The Wildcats finished with a 41-38 edge in rebounding.

Sophomore Kristin Willer (Fulton, Mo.) scored a career-high 10 points to lead the Lady Eagles, while freshman Nakia Robinson (St. Louis, Mo.) added eight. Freshman Sammie Gathercole (Springfield, Mo.) grabbed a game-high eight rebounds in the game.

CMU dropped to 2-9 on the season and 1-2 in the HAAC with the loss, while Baker improved to 7-5 overall and 3-1 in the conference. The Lady Eagles will try to get back on track when they travel to Lamoni, Iowa, Saturday to take on Graceland University in another HAAC contest. The game is scheduled to tip-off at 2 p.m.
