MidAmerica Nazarene opened the game strong, getting out to a 15-4 lead with 14:14 left in the first half. The Lady Pioneers stretched their lead to as many as 14 in the first half. CMU answered with a 12-3 run over the next four minutes to get to within 35-30 with 4:39 left in the first half. Freshman Nakia Robinson (St. Louis, Mo.) made a pair of free throws with 34 seconds left in the period to bring CMU to within three points, but MidAmerica Nazarene got a basket to end the half with a 41-36 lead.

Central Methodist rallied to within 46-44 with 17:14 remaining in the game, but the Lady Eagles were unable to take the lead. MNU continued to hold the lead, stretching it to 14 points with 4:59 left in the game. CMU cut the lead in half in the next four minutes, but could get no closer as MNU held on for the seven-point win.

CMU shot 41.9 percent from the field, including 8-of-19 from three-point range. MidAmerica Nazarene shot 48.4 percent from the field in the game, and finished 4-of-11 from beyond the arc. Central Methodist made 15-of-17 free-throw attempts, while MidAmerica Nazarene was 18-of-23 from the free-throw line, including 16-of-21 in the second half. The Lady Eagles finished with a 37-35 rebounding advantage.

Senior Jazmynn Hutchings (Des Moines, Iowa) scored a season-high 19 points to lead the Lady Eagles, while also pulling down four rebounds. Sophomores Kristin Willer (Fulton, Mo.) and Raylyn Nuss (O'Fallon, Mo.) added 10 points each. Willer also finished with five rebounds and two blocked shots, while Nuss tallied a team-high five assists. Freshman Amoni Reynolds (Carol Stream, Ill.) pulled down a team-high six rebounds.

Central Methodist dropped to 3-16 on the season and 1-8 in the HAAC with the loss, while MidAmerica Nazarene improved to 6-12 overall and 4-4 in the HAAC. CMU will be back in action Thursday night. The Lady Eagles will host Culver-Stockton College in a 5:30 p.m. game at Puckett Field House.
