Junior Sami Dunger (Wildwood, Mo.) became the 14th player in Central Methodist University women's basketball history to surpass 1,000 career points Saturday afternoon in the Lady Eagles' loss to Graceland.

Dunger finished with 11 points in Saturday's game, which puts her at 1,003 career points at CMU. She scored her 1,000th point on a layup with 2:39 left in the game, before adding a three-pointer with 1:11 left. With five games remaining this season, Dunger needs just seven points to move up to 13th on the all-time scoring list at Central Methodist. She leads the Lady Eagles this season, averaging just more than 10 points per game.
