Joseph tabbed HAAC WBB Player of the Week
KANSAS CITY Junior forward Britney Joseph of Central Methodist was named the Heart of America Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week on Monday afternoon.

Joseph claimed the final weekly award after helping the Eagles advance to their first HAAC Tournament championship game since the 1999-2000 campaign.

A native of Houston, Texas, she averaged 11.0 points, 9.7 rebounds and 2.3 steals while shooting 52.0 percent from the floor. Central Methodist wrapped up the regular season and the No. 3 seed in the HAAC Tournament with a win over Culver-Stockton (Mo.) last Monday with Joseph tallying seven points, seven rebounds and three assists. The Eagles faced the same team three days later with the same result as Joseph improved her personal line to 16 points and seven rebounds on 6-of-9 shooting. She followed that up against 12th-ranked Benedictine (Kan.) with 10 points, 15 rebounds and three blocked shots in a 78-70 overtime victory.

Joseph will represent the conference in the running for the NAIA Division I Women's Basketball Player of the Week award, which will be announced no later than Tuesday afternoon.
