With the victory, the 15th ranked Lady Eagles improve to 24-2 overall and improve to 19-1 in The Heart; and clinch at least a share of the conference regular season title. With the loss, Graceland University falls to 2-23 overall and 1-19 in The Heart.

The Lady Eagles jumped out to an 11-0 lead over Graceland in the first two and a half minutes of the first quarter on Saturday afternoon. CMU would not let up, and held a 29-13 lead after the first quarter of play.

CMU outscored Graceland in every quarter, and outscored the YellowJackets 21-19 in the second quarter to hold a 50-32 lead at halftime.

Central Methodist kept the offensive attack going in the second half, outscoring Graceland University 29-12 in the third quarter, and 21-12 in the fourth quarter,

From a defensive standpoint, CMU held Graceland to 28% (20-for-71) shooting from the field and 18% (4-for-22) from beyond the three-point arc.

Five Lady Eagles finished in double-figures scoring, while everyone was able to see the floor for CMU in the lopsided win. Senior Taylor McDowell (Overland Park, Kan.) led all scorers with 22 points in her 28 minutes of play. DaJonee Hale (Anchorage, Alaska) finished with 19 points on 8-of-16 shooting.

With the victory on Saturday afternoon, Lady Eagles head coach Mike Davis clinched his 600th career win, in his 27th year of coaching at the NAIA level (CMU and Columbia College. Also, before the game, Davis honored his six senior players. They are: Mia Stone (Jacksonville, Fla.), Alissa Campanero (San Diego, Calif.), Brianna Walker (Chicago, Ill.), Taylor McDowell (Overland Park, Kan.), Taylor Cornelison (Seymour, Mo.), and Saige Stafanski (Palmer, Alaska).

The 15th ranked Lady Eagles close out the home portion of their regular season schedule this Wednesday, when they host William Penn University at 5:30pm. The Eagle men's game will follow at 7:30pm inside of Puckett Field House.
